Old for new light bulbs

I went to the Santee Expo today and SDG&E had a booth where you could trade in your old standard bulbs for new energy efficient blubs. You could trade in up to 5 light bulbs per households. You could also trade in an old halogen lamp for a new energy efficient torchiere lamp (up to 2 per household). I traded in 5 old lightbulbs and got 5 new energy efficient bulbs for free. I didn't have a halogen lamp, so I went to the Salvation Army (which was across the street) to see if they had one. They had one for $25, which I thought was a bit high. I was able to negotiate it down to $10 and then traded in that lamp for a brand new one. Not bad, huh? Boy I love GTM!

I jut purchased this watch at a fabulous store called GTM. It's in Santee. If you've never been, you must plan on going. They get returned item from Costco and other stores. GTM does have a following, so it does get crowded, especially on weekends. At GTM you can find everything from tv's to appliances to clothes to food and more, all at a great price. For example, this watch, which I purchased on Saturday, is at Costco for $99. GTM had it for $79. And with GTM's 25% discount coupon, which they run every so often on their Web site, brought the price down to $59! Now that's a bargain!
