Old for new light bulbs

I went to the Santee Expo today and SDG&E had a booth where you could trade in your old standard bulbs for new energy efficient blubs. You could trade in up to 5 light bulbs per households. You could also trade in an old halogen lamp for a new energy efficient torchiere lamp (up to 2 per household). I traded in 5 old lightbulbs and got 5 new energy efficient bulbs for free. I didn't have a halogen lamp, so I went to the Salvation Army (which was across the street) to see if they had one. They had one for $25, which I thought was a bit high. I was able to negotiate it down to $10 and then traded in that lamp for a brand new one. Not bad, huh?
